WeWork launches initiative to support start-ups

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Co-working operator WeWork has launched an initiative to support start-ups in Singapore, gathering an entrepreneurial community that operates from its offices and encouraging resource-sharing among the startups. Firms that qualify for its Growth Campus programme include start-ups, accelerators, incubators, start-up programmes, venture capitalists, investment funds, angel syndicates, investors, start-up related membership groups and non-profits.

To be eligible for the programme, start-ups must be based in Singapore, looking to scale internationally, and founded within the last 5 years. They must also have less than 20 employees and are bootstrapped with a turnover of over $100K or have raised up funding to and including series A.

“Through subsidised workspace, virtual mentoring, customised education and access to our global network of members, we can provide more to help startups grow and kickstart this sector,” said Monica Wulff, head of WeWork Labs, Australia, Southeast Asia and South Korea.
