SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - The largest penthouse located at the top of the tallest tower at Reflections at Keppel Bay has finally been released on the market. The 13,293 sq ft, six-bedroom triplex sits on the top three levels of the 41-storey tower and has an auspicious unit number of “88”.
“It’s one of those rare unit numbers with ‘88’ in Singapore,” says Leong Boon Hoe, COO of List Sotheby’s International Realty, the exclusive marketing agent for the penthouse.

The living room of the penthouse is shaped like the prow of a ship, and the full-height glass windows offer uninterrupted 270-degree views of the sea, Sentosa Island, and the Marina at Keppel Bay, adds Leong.

Keppel Land, the property arm of Keppel Corp, is the developer behind Reflections at Keppel Bay, as well as the neighbouring Corals at Keppel Bay, and Caribbean at Keppel Bay. All the three projects have 99-year leasehold tenures.

Reflections at Keppel Bay was designed by world-renowned Polish-American architect, Daniel Libeskind. It was his maiden residential development in Singapore. Since then, he has also designed Corals at Keppel Bay.
Libeskind was famous for his winning design for the World Trade Centre master plan in New York.

Landmark development

The 1,129-unit Reflections at Keppel Bay is a landmark in Singapore, with six high-rise curved towers of 24 to 41-storeys and 11 low-rise villa blocks of six to eight storeys. The name “Reflections” was inspired by the 100,000 sq ft reflective pool skirting the six high-rise towers.
Within the development is also a clubhouse designed by Libeskind as a dramatic curved structure. It is the social hub for residents of Reflections at Keppel Bay.

Keppel Land has decided to put the penthouse up for sale amid the recent spike in buying interest in penthouses, particularly among high networth foreign buyers, and notably the Chinese.
The price tag for the super penthouse at Reflections is $68 million or $5,115 psf. The asking price reflects the rarity of such a penthouse given its size, views and quality of the finishing and fixtures, says Leong.

Reflections at Keppel Bay was also the only residential project in that enclave to receive planning permission for a high-rise development, notes Leong. “That’s why Corals and Caribbean at Keppel Bay are only up to 10 storeys in height.”

According to him, future developments built as part of the planned Greater Southern Waterfront are unlikely to have views that match those from the penthouse at Reflections at Keppel Bay, where every room has a view.

Luxurious offerings

The penthouse’s interiors and furnishings were designed by design firm Saporiti Italia at a cost of about $3 million. Saporiti Italia is famous for its luxury furniture collection and design solutions. All the furnishing within the penthouse will be sold together with the unit, says Leong.
A key feature of the penthouse is its spacious entertainment areas. Leong estimates that the entire apartment could accommodate close to 100 guests across the three floors. The main entertainment space is located on the top floor, where glass sliding doors open out to the roof terrace.

Meanwhile, the dining room on the first floor can host a formal sit-down dinner for 20 guests. The unit also has a temperature-controlled room for wine storage. The wet kitchen has been fitted with Miele appliances including a refrigerator, an oven and a hob, and leads into a spacious utility area.
The penthouse comes with six en suite bedrooms, including a junior master bedroom and a master bedroom on the second floor. The master bedroom has an en suite walk-in wardrobe and master bathroom.

The penthouse has already attracted the interest of Chinese buyers, owing to the views and the auspicious unit number, says Leong.
He reckons that the unit’s “timeless design” will appeal to a broad range of international buyers, especially those who want a penthouse with space to entertain friends and business associates.
