More than 670 local real estate salespersons were recognised at the Singapore Estate Agents Association (SEAA) SG Real Estate Agents Excellence Awards 2023. This is the fourth consecutive year the award ceremony has been organised by SEAA.
The event recognises successful and outstanding sales performance, as well as the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct by registered salespersons across all agencies in Singapore. This year the ceremony was held on Aug 18 at Marina Bay Sands.
Given the scale of the event, two separate awards ceremonies were held. An afternoon session honoured individual recipients of the Salespersons Achievement Award (Silver) and the Salespersons Achievement Award (Gold). The Silver award went to agents who raked in a gross commission of $100,000– $199,999 for the full calendar year of 2022, while the Gold category ranged from $200,000 to $400,000 over the same period.

In an evening ceremony, awards were presented to individual as well as multi-award recipients. They include Salespersons Achievement Award (Platinum), Salespersons Achievement Award (Diamond), Outstanding Youths Award, and Rookies Award. The Platinum category was for agents who collected gross commission of $400,001–$999,999, and the Diamond category, for commissions totalling $1 million and above.
The evening ceremony was graced by Professor Mhd Faishal Ibrahim, Minister of State, Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Home Affairs.
“For home buyers, especially first-time buyers, the property market can appear daunting. Fortunately, consumers can rely on professional agents like yourselves for accurate and updated information that assist them to navigate the complexities of the market,” says Minister Faishal. He added that home buyers rely on agents to act in their best interests and advise them to make financially prudent yet rewarding decisions.
Adam Wang, president of SEAA, says: “Recognising exemplary salespersons for their professionalism, values and sales achievements are vital for the industry. It builds consumer trust through ethical conduct, nurturing lasting relationships and repeat business,”
Building up a positive image of real estate agencies and salespersons in Singapore will go a long way to elevate overall service standards and foster consumer trust, says Wang.
All recipients this year demonstrate a blend of tenacity, adaptability, and client-centric focus, says Edmund Toh, CEO of SEAA. “Their commitment to continuous learning, embracing technology, and nurturing relationships underscores their success. A strong ethical compass, effective communication, and resilience stand out as common threads,” he adds.

This mirrors the holistic approach that combines professional growth, empathy, and unwavering dedication that forms the bedrock of the industry, says Toh, adding that this years’ recipients serve as learning points of reference for the rest of the industry.
As the largest industry representative body for real estate salespersons in Singapore, SEAA acts as a unified voice to represent the interests of this group.
“SEAA’s commitment to all salespersons is evident in its advocacy for equitable industry practices. Notably, its dispute resolution channel partner [Singapore Mediation Centre] fills a crucial gap by addressing commission-related conflicts that fall outside the Council for Estate Agencies’ scope,” says Wang.
Other initiatives by SEAA collectively amplify the voices of agents, enhance industry standards and solidify its vital position within the real estate community, he adds. “Agents who are SEAA members can seek assistance from us as we are working on ways to resolve co-broking disputes amongst salespersons. Active participation in SEAA’s networking events offers agents a platform to voice concerns, share insights, and network with peers,” says Toh.
