Portuguese golf-resort apartments target Singapore investors

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - International real estate services firm JLL is marketing a selection of Portuguese apartments and penthouses to investors in Singapore, Malaysia and the region. The units are in a residential complex in the Monte Rei resort, located in Portugal’s eastern Algarve region.
The apartments in the 1,000-acre (404.7-hectare) resort include two- and three-bedroom units as well as penthouses. Ownership comes with a variety of personalised services, including a dedicated concierge service for travel arrangements, restaurant reservations, spa treatment booking, in-villa dining, and childcare services.

The residential complex also features a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, and a children’s play area.
“Monte Rei is a world-class resort with a top-of-the-game Jack Nicklaus signature golf course and a new generation of modern lifestyle inspired properties,” says Pedro Lancastre, managing director, JLL Portugal.
The resort has the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Portugal. A second golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus is being planned in Monte Rei. The second golf course will be developed with a five-star luxury hotel, a spa, and two new residential developments.

According to JLL, property in Monte Rei has recorded a 10% growth per annum on the number of golfers and 8% growth in its golf revenue. The prices of rental properties there have also grown by 4.5% over the past five years, it adds.
