OrangeTee & Tie's new Business Technology Team to further intensify resource development and future-proof agent capabilities

A premier real estate agency in Singapore, OrangeTee & Tie (OTT) has always supported the adoption of property-technology (proptech) solutions that bolster the capabilities of its wide agent base.
OTT was an early pioneer of proptech in Singapore, rolling out its first proprietary digital platform for its agents in 2016. Over the years, the agency has continued to invest in enhancing the digital capabilities for all its agents to up their game in digital adoption.
This strategy has culminated with the formation of a Business Technology Team in January this year. The new team is co-chaired by Simon Yio, Chief Operating Officer at OTT, and agency leader Lester Tan, who heads Apex Achievers Group (AAG) in OTT.
Tan has been brought in as a business technology consultant and will assist the senior management team at OTT to drive upcoming digital strategies while remaining as Group Head of AAG.
Yio says: “The agency believes that enhancing its proptech support is a forward-looking strategy that will future-proof the capabilities of OTT agents. We intend to drive more resources to further strengthen our suite of proptech tools, and OTT agents can expect more agent-focused tools to be rolled out in the coming months.”

Agent App, exclusive to OTT agents

The most utilised proptech mobile application by OTT agents is the OrangeTee Agent App, a digital platform developed by OTT that comes with a suite of research and service capabilities that is exclusive to its agents.
The Agent App contains key real estate information that agents will find useful, including a caveat search function, market analytics tools and a transactional dashboard. It also contains project information of newly launched and existing developments, which agents will find useful as they can easily filter through multiple projects to find an appropriate home for their clients.
OTT continues to push out additional tools that will ease many of the pain-points faced by agents. A new feature in the Agent App, named RenTapp, helps ease the workload of agents for rental transactions.
One feature in RenTapp is a tenancy management system that simplifies rental inventory management often handled by agents. RenTapp will also help agents manage rental dues, rental market analytics and condition reports.

AAG InstantPro, go-to prospecting tool for agents

AAG InstantPro is a mobile application that Tan fully owns, and he has personally developed and enhanced it for the past 16 years. It is now available for all OTT agents to use.
Leveraging proptech to his advantage, Tan has developed a suite of tools on his app to ease tasks for property agents and support their growth. He had spent a decade working as a software engineer prior to joining the real estate industry as an agent.
“The tools built into InstantPro emphasise an ‘all-in-one’ useful real-time market data, showing the latest interest rates, and pools current listing prices in a development to help agents better guide prospective buyers,” says Tan.
He has also developed 16 different calculator functions for the mobile app, with four more in the pipeline. One of the most popular calculators is an asset progression calculator, which helps agents guide homeowners who plan to upgrade their property, to do so in a stress-free manner. Another popular calculator is a future price predictor that can analyse the upside potential of a development.
The app contains learning tools for OrangeTee agents to enjoy on-demand learning. It also contains a suite of outreach tools such as AAG Targeted Mailer Pro and Direct Owners Prospecting, to help agents connect with potential clients.
Tan says that all the tools he has developed for InstantPro are designed to assist agents in closing deals and prospecting for new clients in a timely manner. He has already started work on the next generation of the app called “InstantPro 2022”, which will contain more time-saving and client engagement features.

More support for new OTT agents lined up

With the establishment of OTT’s Business Technology Team, Yio says that its agents can look forward to continuous digital enhancements to its existing suite of proptech tools that cover areas such as project marketing, OrangeTee Analyser, and prospecting for new clients.
The agency also launched its first Real Estate Salesperson Internship Programme on March 3, to provide support for individuals keen to join the agency industry. Interns will have access to an extensive range of fully sponsored in-house courses and training, project marketing opportunities and revision classes to help them obtain their licence.
“This is as close to a zero-entry cost on the part of interested individuals. We are also committed to supporting these new agents with the Fast Track (Team Lead) Program (FTP) that will enable them to have dual career paths and to enjoy higher take-home pay as they begin their journey as real estate agents.
