Co-living operator Hmlet expands product line with new turnkey private housing offering

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Co-living operator Hmlet has launched a new turnkey, private housing solution called Hmlet Nest. This new product targets locals and expatriate couples and families and was developed in response to the growing market demand for flexible living arrangements in Singapore, the company says in a press release. Hmlet Nest will be available at its property at 16 Hamilton Road in Singapore from mid-September. This property features eight conservation shophouses that have been refurbished into 68 rooms. It has two-bedroom private units and three- and four-bedroom co-living units, and the whole development has communal areas.

Room prices range from $1,350 for a room in a co-living unit to $3,400 for a two-bedroom private unit. Prices will be based on the room location and size.
The turnkey private housing concept by Hmlet is pet-friendly and will appeal to residents who need privacy and space for a work-from-home environment.
“Hmlet aims to stand by our promise of hassle-free living and add value to our consumers. Given the change in the real estate landscape, Hmlet Nest is set to target a growing market with specific needs that is otherwise lumped with other renters,” says Peter Kennedy, interim CEO, Hmlet.
Separately, Hmlet says that it is capitalising on the fall in hotel room demand in Hong Kong to partner with luxury hotels to list underutilised rooms under the Hmlet brand. The operator singled out Hotel ICON, a five-star hotel near Victoria Harbour, which has listed some of its rooms with Hmlet.
“This partnership further allows us to diversify income streams, exchange knowledge while also getting a head start when entering a new segment,” says Dominik Wiesent, managing director, Hmlet Hong Kong.
