Simei is home to country clubs such as Tanah Merah Country Club and Laguna National Golf & Country Club. Nearby, the Singapore Expo complex annually holds international concerts, exhibitions and conventions. Tampines is Singapore's third largest new town by area, spanning over 289ha of land. Originally covered by forests and swamps, Tampines has evolved into a modern township with three shopping malls: Tampines 1, Century Square and Tampines mall, located in the heart of the regional centre. In 2006, IKEA opened its second outlet in Singapore at Tampines Retail Park, adjacent to two other mega retail warehouse stores by Courts and Giant. From its early days as a kampung, Pasir Ris has evolved to become a lively housing estate surrounded by the beach and sea. Another natural landmark in the neighbourhood is Pasir Ris Park, which houses a 6ha mangrove forest. Pasir Ris is also popular for its chalets and resorts in Downtown East.

With a land area of 11,000ha, the East Region is the smallest and second most densely populated of the five regions in Singapore. The region is a key aviation hub, housing the Paya Lebar Air Base and Changi Naval Base. Major airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Scoot and Jetstar also has their head offices in the area. Other major economic activity includes manufacturing, with industrial estates in Bedok, Changi, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Paya Lebar. Changi Business Park also hosts a number of MNCs such as Standard Chartered and IBM. Going forward, the government has plans to create more semi-conductor and aviation-related jobs at Tampines North, Pasir Ris and Changi. Aside from the bustling economic activity, residents benefit from a wide variety of green and play spaces in the region. Residents will also enjoy increased connectivity to other parts of Singapore with the upcoming Cross Island Line and Thomson-East Coast Line.

"Avoid this condo due to imcompetence of Management team. They slap residences with parking charges for a second vehicle. The maintenance is a couple of hundred dollars and there are suffient carpark lots for 2 cars. They seem to be obsessed with the carpark while the general upkeep of the Estate is not great. My spouse and I have vehicles we need to use for work and family. I would not mind paying the extra parking if there were insufficient lots. Staying here is not that pleasant, and highlighting issues to the management is stresssful due to their defensive nature. Hope the residents will do something about this or lose more tenants. Infact, my landlord shared that he was thinking of selling his unit. He is waiting for a higher valuation. Having said that, the place is quite quiet if you enjoy being out of the city. Not many shops around though. "

"Highly unprofessional and inconsiderate security guards. This one guard Nanthakumar asked my grab driver to wait at the main road rather than pickup point at 4 am in the morning with heavy rain. I had to walk in rain to the car. Its not like the grab driver had to wait even for 1 minute and there was no other cars"

"I like the neighbourhood. Near shengsiong supermarket, bakery, Coffeeshop, salon and clinic. There is a bus stop behind the condo and a few bus stops away from wet market. Good for family to stay in as it is near Ikea and giant."
