Bukit Batok is home to many natural landmarks, such as Bukit Batok Town Park, Bukit Batok Nature Park, Bukit Batok Hill and Little Guilin, which bears a resemblance of Guilin in China, offering a view of towering granite rock sitting within a lake. The main shopping mall is West Mall, which has a public library, post office and cinema within its compounds.

With a land area of 25,500ha, the West Region is the largest of the five regions in Singapore. Jurong East is the regional centre of the region, while Jurong West is the most populous town in the region. A large number of Singapore's heavy industry companies are concentrated in the West Region. These are mainly petrochemical companies, comprising of international players such as BP, ExxonMobil, DuPont, Mitsui Chemicals and Shell. The West Region is also at the forefront of the government's industrial development efforts. The government plans to develop the Jurong Lake District and Jurong Innovation District into the second Central Business District (CBD) area in Singapore. Additionally, the Tuas Mega Port, upon completion in the 2040s, is anticipated to be the world's single largest container port with an annual capacity of 65 million TEUs.

"My unit is on mid level with access to 197 sf of patio which space is not included in floor area. Glendale Park is FH and minutes to DTL Hillview Station . Its build on elevated ground, windy and open facing ."

"Many towers at Glendale Park, Hillview Avenue, have been plagued by rain seepage through windows and termite infestation since TOP in 2000. Many units at Tower D1 and D2, in particular, have recurring problems of water seepage and termites. The 10th floor unit has wide, open balconies that, over time, seep rain water into the living/dining area and bedrooms at the lower floor. Towers D1 and D2 also have a perennial problem of flooding at the basement carpark, right into the lift lobby, after a thunderstorm. Especially on weekends, there is often water ponding all over the carpark due to the carwash. It is an ugly sight. Tower D1 also has a constant, offensive stench that fills the carpark lift lobby area. This comes from the nearby bin and drainage gully. The lifts, too, often smell of dog pee. Glendale Park has many units rented out to foreign students. As food is transported on trolleys from tower to tower, and unit to unit on different floors, food and soup spills are often seen at common areas. Noise disturbance is also a problem that neighbours have to put up with. "

"Friendly security guards. Car park is dark and lack signages. The unit I visited can hear honking from the roundabout. May disturb your sleep if you are an early sleeper. Ground floor units look dark under bright daylight. A short walk to the Hillview MRT and amenities across the street."
