With a land area of 11,000ha, the East Region is the smallest and second most densely populated of the five regions in Singapore. The region is a key aviation hub, housing the Paya Lebar Air Base and Changi Naval Base. Major airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Scoot and Jetstar also has their head offices in the area. Other major economic activity includes manufacturing, with industrial estates in Bedok, Changi, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Paya Lebar. Changi Business Park also hosts a number of MNCs such as Standard Chartered and IBM. Going forward, the government has plans to create more semi-conductor and aviation-related jobs at Tampines North, Pasir Ris and Changi. Aside from the bustling economic activity, residents benefit from a wide variety of green and play spaces in the region. Residents will also enjoy increased connectivity to other parts of Singapore with the upcoming Cross Island Line and Thomson-East Coast Line.

"The bus stop outside is very convenient and many different services including the express 518 to town or to Bedok North MRT for those that prefer the train. Opposite via the overhead bridge it's 8 mins to Tampines Interchange, 15 mins by bus to Changi Business Park or 30 mins by bus to Bedok Town. Tropica is located a short distance from the PIE so easily accessible by car as well. Across the street via the overhead bridge (lift available) is a Star Mart within the Caltex Station for convenience and a short walk (less than 10 mins) are a few eateries and a Cheers along Tampines Street 81. The grounds of the condo are resort like, large pool and good facilities for sports such as tennis, basketball and a gym. A small bakery, nail spa on site are nice additions to have. The overall grounds are kept clean as well as the inner lobbies and the guards seem nice on entry to the condo at the guard house. There is also a back gate that gives you access to Bedok Reservoir for those who prefer to outdoors!"
