Spanning 13,150ha in land area, the region hosts Singapore's only UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to many of the country's national monuments, such as the Merlion Park and Statue of Raffles. Although the region is designated mainly for commercial activities, it houses residential developments ranging from HDBs to bungalows. There is also plenty of greenery in the region, linked by 19km of park connectors. According to the Master Plan 2019, Orchard and Downtown will be rejuvenated as a lifestyle hub to include more mixed developments which offer live, work and play opportunities. New housing will be constructed in the Marina South Area with community facilities and amenities. Stage-6 of the Circle Line opening by 2025 will also enhance the Central Region's connectivity.

"Best place to spend the afternoon though it can be abit hot as there isnt aircondition but natural wind does the job just well. Staff are always friendly and price is frisndly too for the space and aesthetic. Looks prettt good for a place that serves mostly local dishes. Just wish they open on the weekends too as not everytime I get to drop by during weekdays."

"The shop was empty when we were there and service was really bad (in fact not present) . The waiter was just using his laptop with zero eye contact or greetings. We have to call him to get his attention to order (still have to wait for him to finish using his laptop) and upon ordering, half the menu was not available. No comments about the food because I could not bring myself to dine in such a cafe."

"Cozy caf!!! Sitting here after a day of hustling gives you peace and serenity! Enjoying the coffee at 3.12pm is lit!! This place also serve one of the best fried mee siam in town, has their own personal touch to the meal!!! P.S. staff here gets a discount if you flash your VANGUARD CAMPUS PASS!!!"
