Spanning 13,150ha in land area, the region hosts Singapore's only UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to many of the country's national monuments, such as the Merlion Park and Statue of Raffles. Although the region is designated mainly for commercial activities, it houses residential developments ranging from HDBs to bungalows. There is also plenty of greenery in the region, linked by 19km of park connectors. According to the Master Plan 2019, Orchard and Downtown will be rejuvenated as a lifestyle hub to include more mixed developments which offer live, work and play opportunities. New housing will be constructed in the Marina South Area with community facilities and amenities. Stage-6 of the Circle Line opening by 2025 will also enhance the Central Region's connectivity.

"situated right in the action of the infamous red light district and on the most popular lorong 18 somemore, this rather modest condo consists of only 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units spread on 5 levels plus 3 basements levels of carpark. building carpark is now available for public use for 60 cents per half an hour. corridors are quite cramp imo. cctv are placed in strategic locations so should be quite safe. swimming pool is small but clean. doubt anybody will swim in it though. first level are full of shops including a barber, a few provision shops, many handphone shops etc. coffeeshops are aplenty in surrounding lorongs so no lack of choices at any point of time if you are looking for food. overall there should be many units for rentals to foreigners available. locals especially singles might be interested to purchase rather than whole families considering this sensitive area."

"Nice modest condo, awesome location. No chilling area at the pool, but the pool is clean, also has a small gym and a fitness corner. May be a bit noisy, as it faces the street."
