BEACH ROAD CONSERVATION AREA is located along Purvis Street in Downtown Core, in District 7. It is accessible through the nearest MRTs including Bugis DT14, EW12 and Esplanade CC3. Other nearby amenities include: 3 Grocerie(s): COLD STORAGE SINGAPORE (1983) PTE LTD, COLD STORAGE SINGAPORE (1983) PTE LTD, SF (313) PTE. LTD., and 3 Shopping Mall(s): Bugis Junction, Duo Galleria, Bugis+.

Buyers and tenants are attracted to District 7, which consists of Beach Road, Bugis, the Golden Mile, Middle Road and Rochor areas. Most of the properties in this district are commercial properties with a small selection of residential properties. Home buyers looking for Bugis properties can choose from a small selection of HDB flats off Middle Road, at Bras Basah Complex and at Rochor Centre. The private residential properties at Bugis are similarly scarce, with projects such as Duo Residences and Midtown Modern witnessing strong demand. Shopping and dining options abound in District 7, with many malls in the area including Bugis Junction and Bugis+. Many hotels such as the Intercontinental Singapore, Carlton Hotel and Raffles Hotel are located within the district or in close proximity to cater to tourists visiting the region.

As a major financial and business hub, the Central Region stands as the dynamic city centre of Singapore. Spanning 13,150ha in land area, the region hosts Singapore's only UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to many of the country's national monuments, such as the Merlion Park and Statue of Raffles. Although the region is designated mainly for commercial activities, it houses residential developments ranging from HDBs to bungalows. There is also plenty of greenery in the region, linked by 19km of park connectors. According to the Master Plan 2019, Orchard and Downtown will be rejuvenated as a lifestyle hub to include more mixed developments which offer live, work and play opportunities. New housing will be constructed in the Marina South Area with community facilities and amenities. Stage-6 of the Circle Line opening by 2025 will also enhance the Central Region's connectivity.

"The Blair Plain conservation area is a very scenic area to breathe in Peranakan culture (there is a even a shop selling Peranakan antiques named Guan Antiques around the area) and see loud, colorful shophouses. For me the highlight of the area would be 157 Neil Road. Known as the NUS Baba House, it is a Peranakan pre-war terrace-house which was formerly owned by the family of a 19th-century shipping tycoon Wee Bin who settled in Singapore, after arriving from the southern Chinese province of Fujian There are also architectures that had clinched the prestigious Architectural Heritage Awards around the area. They are as follows : 1. 149 Neil Road 2. 55 Spottiswoode Park Road 3. 64-1 Spottiswoode Park Road 4. 153 Neil Road 5. 55 Blair Road 6. 59 Blair Road Things to take note when you're exploring the area : 1. Do be careful of personal safety - I had seen locals and tourists alike who had been trying to take pictures on the road (those that car move on ) and were almost run down by cars! Hence, do be careful of the traffic around you when taking photos and choose a safe spot. 2. Do respect privacy - Many of the houses are private residences and they are normal people like you and me going about their daily lives (watching tv, reading, picking their nose). Try to be more sensitive about it when you're exploring one of Singapore's most scenic spots and don't intrude their lives unnecessarily.
