WeWork has launched an innovation platform for early-stage startups at WeWork City House on Robinson Road.
Called WeWork Labs, the platform offers members curated programming, in-house resources and a robust mentorship programme that caters to startups from all industries.
A dedicated Labs Manager will be present at each WeWork Labs location, and will provide a range of educational resources, from roundtables to lectures and one-on-one meetings. Members can learn skills such as accounting, marketing, hiring, and pitching to future investors.
By 1Q2019, WeWork Labs will expand to Bangkok, Thailand. WeWorks Labs aims to be a hub for entrepreneurs and early-stage startups in Southeast Asia. It was launched early this year in countries like the US, Korea, Brazil, Israel and India.
Adrian Tan, head of labs for WeWork Southeast Asia, is leading WeWork Labs both in Singapore and Bangkok. Previously, he served as program director of Vietnam Innovative Startup Accelerator, an accelerator programme aimed at building corporate innovation programmes. “With WeWork Labs, we can help to nurture and unlock the potential of early stage startups by giving them key resources to take their businesses and ideas to a global scale,” he says.
