Verdale clocks 268 viewings on preview weekend

SINGAPORE(EDGEPROP) - All the appointment slots for the weekend preview of the 258-unit Verdale were fully taken up over the weekend of Sept 5 and 6, according to the project’s joint developers COLI Singapore and CSC Land Group. As at 5pm on Sunday, Sept 6, the number of appointments totalled 268, with each group adhering to the maximum of five persons per group (including the developers’ staff and agents) as required by the government's safe management measures.

Verdale is located on De Souza Avenue, just off Jalan Jurong Kechil in the Bukit Timah region of District 21. The 99-year leasehold condominium is set to launch on Sept 19. Balloting for queue numbers will be held the day before (Sept 18) to allow interested buyers time to plan the booking of their units. “Booking of the units will be held in the sales gallery, and scheduled hourly to space out the crowd,” according to the developers.

Typical units are a mix of one- to four-bedroom types. One-bedroom and one-bedroom-plus study range in size from 463 to 570 sq ft. Two-bedroom units start from 614 sq ft, although the majority are two-bedroom deluxe units of 700 to 753 sq ft. Meanwhile, three- and three-bedroom deluxe units are sized from 947 to 1,033 sq ft. Four-bedroom units are 1,410 sq ft each, while four- and five-bedroom duplex penthouses are from 1,518 to 1,873 sq ft in terms of floor area.



Prices of one-bedroom units will start from $791,000 ($1,708 psf) while two-bedroom units will be priced from $998,000 ($1,625 psf).

According to the joint developers, interest came from residents in the vicinity, such as Jalan Jurong Kechil, Upper Bukit Timah, Hillview and Bukit Batok. They include both HDB upgraders and those living in private housing estates in the area, says the developer. Potential buyers encompass a broad spectrum – from singles to young couples and multi-generational families.

Many were interested in the family-sized units -- from the two-bedroom deluxe to four-bedroom units -- as they have efficient layout and are fitted with smart space solutions as well as optimised storage, according to the developer. There was also interest in the four- and five-bedroom duplex penthouses as these units offer the feel of living in a landed property with the perks of condominium facilities and security.

The rejuvenation of the Beauty World neighbourhood, especially with the upcoming integrated transport hub, has also attracted the attention of both investors and owner occupiers given the proximity to Verdale.
