SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Indonesian developer Sinar Mas Land and its joint-venture partner Mitbana have launched Welton; a 7ha landed cluster housing in BSD City, Greater Jakarta. The development is part of a 108ha, mixed-use development called Hiera. Mitbana is a joint-venture company of Japan’s Mitsubishi Corp and Singapore’s Surbana Jurong.
According to a press release by Sinar Mas Land and Mitbana, the release of the first phase of units in the landed housing cluster garnered “strong sales”, and the next sales phase will be released at the end of this month.
“The keen interest in Welton is a signal that there is market demand from buyers who are seeking a vibrant and integrated live-work-play environment outside of the Jakarta city centre,” says Kenji Ono, president director of MC Urban Development Indonesia and president director of Sinar Mitbana Mas, the development company of Welton.

The 291-unit cluster houses in Welton feature neo-classical architecture and modern contemporary interior design. “Welton seeks to offer an active, urban lifestyle balanced with holistic wellness for its residents and to connect communities and build bonds in a peaceful, comfortable environment,” say Sinar Mas Land and Mitbana. Amenities in the housing cluster include a Zen garden, a forest walk, an outdoor gym, and a playground.
The houses come in three unit types — either three or four-bedders — and have two or three storeys with land areas ranging from 1,054 to 3,067 sq ft. Prices start from IDR2.5 billion ($225,000).
Each house also features an open living and dining area, large floor-to-ceiling windows, premium finishes and fittings like smart lighting, voice command (home control), and digital door locks.
Hiera is under construction in phases and is expected to be completed in 2025.
