SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Savills Singapore is marketing the release of 170 new apartments for sale at The Verdean, a residential development in Acton, West London.

“We expect this new phase of the development to have huge appeal to a wide range of purchasers looking for the West London lifestyle with great transport connections across the capital,” says Nick Vaughan, head of Greater London residential development at Savills.

The Verdean is by UK-based developer Mount Anvil in partnership with the Peabody Group. The entire master-planned project comprises residences, community facilities such as a supermarket, commercial spaces, as well as sports and recreational facilities like a running track and a climbing wall.

The project is close to the Acton Main Line station on the Elizabeth Line and other public transport options. This degree of connectivity means that The Verdean is about a 10-minute train ride to central London, and residents can reach Canary Wharf in about 25 minutes, and Heathrow International Airport in about 20 minutes.

The entire residential component comprises 990 apartments that are being released and launched in phases. The initial sales phase — called The Oak — saw 160 apartments launch for sale in 2020. These units were sold out within three weeks.

The latest release is called The Aster and consists of 170 apartments that are a mix of studios, along with one- and two-bedroom units. Prices are expected to start from GBP375,000 ($612,145).

“Following the sell-out success of phase 1 at The Verdean (The Oak), we are anticipating overwhelming response for The Aster, marking the start of the second phase,” says Jacqueline Wong, executive director, residential service, at Savills Singapore.

Within each apartment, the kitchens feature light marble surfaces, Bosch appliances, and a classic contrasting palette with white wall cabinets and smoked wood-effect base units. Each bedroom comes with floor-to-ceiling windows to bring in natural light.

There will be a mix of herringbone and marble-effect porcelain tiles in the bathrooms, oak-effect flooring throughout living spaces and soft luxurious carpets in the bedrooms. Each apartment has a considered layout, designed for modern living.

Amenities within the development include a gym and a cycle hub powered by Peloton, a dedicated 24-hour concierge, business lounge, screening room, and multi-purpose entertainment space. Residents will also have access to a car club scheme with three years free membership and on-site bicycle storage.

“With the convenience of the Elizabeth Line now in operation and at your doorstep, connectivity into central London is enhanced and amplified,” says Wong. “International investors as well as homeowners who have a keen eye for value will identify The Aster as an astute investment.”
