Savills Investment Management transacts EUR670 mil worth of deals in Asia in 2021

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Real estate investment manager Savills Investment Management (Savills IM) transacted deals worth more than EUR3.4 billion ($5.2 billion) globally in 2021, including EUR670 million in Asia.

Ninety transactions were completed by the firm last year across 13 countries, up 21% y-o-y. Transactions included EUR2.1 billion worth of acquisitions and around EUR1.2 billion worth of disposals, resulting in a net investment of around EUR900 million.

The firm managed about EUR24.8 billion in assets under management as of September 2021.

The deals were led by Savill IM’s industrial platform, which saw EUR1.5 billion worth of transactions, while the group’s office and retail platforms each saw over EUR580 million transacted.

In Asia Pacific, Savills IM completed the first acquisitions for its newly launched Asia-Pacific Income and Growth Fund including an office building in Sydney, Australia. It also completed the acquisition of 10 residential assets located in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya for its Japan Residential Fund.

Savills IM also deployed some EUR760 million across 16 investments through DRC SIM, its dedicated commercial real estate debt platform. DRC SIM raised new capital of around EUR1 billion.
