Luxury shopping mall Shoppes at Londoner has bagged the Retail Development of the Year award at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2024. The mall is within The Londoner Macao integrated resort located at the heart of the Cotai Strip in Macau.

The Londoner Macao is part of Sands Resorts Macao, an integrated resort city that includes The Venetian Macao and The Parisian Macao. Besides featuring some of the largest casinos in the world, it is home to over 12,500 hotel rooms and suites, more than 150 dining establishments, 2.2 million sq ft of retail malls and 1.7 million sq ft of Mice space.

The Londoner Macao had operated as Sands Cotai Central before undergoing a $2 billion redesign that started in 2019 and was completed last year. The integrated resort was reimagined around a British theme and includes a life-sized replica of Big Ben, a façade modelled after the Palace of Westminster and Houses of Parliament and hotels with a British aesthetic.

The retail mall at the resort was redesigned into Shoppes at Londoner, featuring more than 150 high-end boutiques and British heritage brands across 612,000 sq ft. The mall is linked by air-conditioned footbridges to other malls in Sands Resort Macao. In 2023, the mall’s occupancy rose to 90%, mirroring pre-pandemic levels.
