SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Singapore-based real estate investment platform RealVantage has announced the appointment of Ng Beng Tiong as chairman of its board of directors, advisor and a member of its investment committee.
Ng is the former deputy group CEO and group COO of ARA Asset Management — roles he held from 2019 until May this year. Ng, who joined ARA in 2007, previously held other roles at the asset manager, including as CEO of ARA Private Funds and head of ARA’s China desk.
Ng will provide strategic leadership in growing the platform’s funds under management to US$500 million ($704 million) within the next five years. He will also oversee the expansion of RealVantage’s offices to Hong Kong SAR and Australia. “With more than 30 years of experience in real estate, finance, mergers and acquisitions, Ng will help seek out new business opportunities, industry trends and partnerships. In his role as an investment committee member, Ng will also be evaluating and approving real estate deals,” the company states in a Sept 8 press release.
Keith Ong, co-founder and CEO of RealVantage, notes that Ng is also a shareholder of the company. “This is testament to the level of confidence he has in our business model and our potential for future growth,” he says.
Since its formation in July 2019, RealVantage has closed 34 real estate investment deals across Australia, Singapore, the UK, the US and Hong Kong SAR. This includes 10 fully-realised exits that have logged an average internal rate of return of 27.4% for equity deals and 7.9% for income deals, according to the company.
