SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Pullman Singapore Hill Street, a new five-star hotel, will open on Oct 1. The 350-room hotel was developed by EL Development, who partnered with French hotel group Accord to manage the property under the Pullman Hotels & Resorts brand.
Designed by Singapore’s DP Architects, Pullman Singapore Hill Street pays homage to the brand’s roots in luxury train travel, says Mazen Abilmona, the hotel’s general manager. The Pullman brand has ties to George Pullman, the 19th-century American railroad manufacturer who was famous for launching the first sleeper trains in the US.
The hotel features a reproduction of a classic Pullman Sleeping Cabin near the entryway, while the lobby is flanked with floor-to-ceiling installations of vintage carriers. The hotel rooms are modelled after private railroad cabins.
