SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Local real estate agency PropNex Realty has launched their own version of the popular Hasbro licenced Monopoly boardgame. The new Monopoly PropNex Edition has been curated to include familiar elements of the local property market. It also serves as an experiential learning tool to teach real estate investment and asset progression.
“It has always been my dream to bring the Monopoly game to every household in Singapore. I was introduced to the game at an early age of 10 years old by my dad, as this game was played as part of our family bonding, teaching us the basic understanding of the real estate,” says Ismail Gafoor, CEO of PropNex Realty.

Some of the new local flavours in this edition includes title deeds that accurately reflect areas in the Core Central Region, Rest of Central Region, and Outside Central Region. Other familiar aspects of the local property market include navigating various property cooling measures. A few of the standard Monopoly rules have also been tweaked to allow most games to be completed in under two hours.

The launch of the boardgame has been timed to coincide with the upcoming Chinese New Year public holiday. On top of the property investment lessons that are weaved into the gameplay, PropNex wanted the game to be able to bring families together to have fun.
