SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - PropNex is holding a two-day Virtual Singapore Property Expo over the weekend of July 25 and 26. From 10am to 6pm on both days, there will be webinars, lucky draws and property showcases. Investors and buyers can enter into virtual “halls” through meeting links and access over 1,000 resale and new property listings.

CEO of PropNex Realty Ismail Gafoor says, “We hope that participants of our virtual expo will benefit from the insights gained from bankers, lawyers and property agents, even if they do not commit to a purchase. It’s convenient since they can do it from wherever they are.”

On the first day, there will be topics such as Covid-19’s impact on the property market, financial planning before committing to a property purchase, and the direction of the real estate market in Singapore.

Concurrently, there will also be virtual open houses for condominium projects. PropNex agents will showcase project details and speak about the available units on sale. Projects that will be featured include Treasure at Tampines, Kent Ridge Hill Residences, Amber Park, Mayfair Collection, Leedon Green and Avenue South Residence.

On the second day, there will be webinars covering topics on fengshui, the stages of property investment, and things to note when buying old landed properties. At the same time, there are virtual open houses for available landed homes and webinars on investing in properties in London, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia. Bank sales and HDB resale listings will also be featured.

The virtual property expo is the first in Singapore, says PropNex executive director Kelvin Fong. It will be an “efficient and speedy way” for property buyers to learn about projects and the property market, he adds.

Virtual viewings and meetings have become the norm since the start of the “circuit breaker” period in April. Gafoor says this is especially so for new launches, as people are more confident in making a firm decision purely based on virtual viewings. “Even when agents can meet face-to-face with clients now, they will still use virtual tools to showcase the property first before making a showflat appointment,” he adds.
