A prime commercial space located on Level 1 of GB Building on 143 Cecil Street has been put up for sale by expression of interest (EOI). The guide price for the 13,067 sq ft unit is between $43 and $44 million ($3,300 to $3,350 psf). According to ET & Co, the appointed marketing agent for sale, the unit will be sold with tenancy, which still has a year to go.
The property, a duplex unit, is linked by an internal staircase and comes with a prominent street-level frontage of around 45m on Cecil Street. The unit is currently leased to Chinese developer Country Garden, which is using it as a show gallery for its Forest City project.
According to ET & Co, the unit could potentially be used for a variety of trades, including retail, F&B, banking hall, and medical suites with the approval of the authorities. The property has a regular layout and could also be partitioned into smaller units for different businesses or leased to multiple tenants.
The EOI exercise closes on Nov 30.
