SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - A triplex penthouse at Mount Faber Lodge was sold for $4.4 million ($1,188 psf) on Oct 13. The 3,703 sq ft penthouse had been marketed by SRI since June this year, and was featured by EdgeProp Singapore in September. The caveat for the sale has not yet been lodged.

When it was on the market, the penthouse attracted interest from other expatriates because of the unit size, its views and location amid the greenery. The buyer is understood to be a South Korean permanent resident.

The previous owner was a British expatriate family who moved back home after living in the penthouse for close to eight years. They purchased the penthouse for $3.98 million ($1,075 psf) in February 2011, and then spent close to $800,000 on gutting and renovating the interiors to suit their needs.

Mount Faber Lodge is perched on the slope of Mount Faber Hill, and the freehold development stands out among the greenery for its red-brick façade. It has 20 penthouse units comprising five-bedroom triplexes of 3,703 sq ft to 3,724 sq ft.
