Momentus Hospitality, the hospitality arm of SingHaiyi Group, has announced its first expansion outside of Singapore with a new 236-key hotel in Darwin, Australia.
The property will be built by CEL Australia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SingHaiyi Group. Slated to open in 2026, the hotel is near the Darwin Convention Centre. It will form an integral part of the leisure and entertainment component of the reimagined Darwin Waterfront masterplan. Hotel amenities will include two F&B outlets and a club lounge, subject to approval from the Australian authorities.
"The new project signifies a defining moment for Momentus Hotels & Resorts as we venture beyond the borders of Singapore for the very first time", says Angeline Tan, senior vice president at Momentus Hospitality.

CEL Australia has developments and investments in Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia. "We are delighted to further expand into the Northern Territory," says Gallant Tang, executive director of CEL Darwin.
According to CEL Australia's website, this will be their first property in Australia's Northern Territory.
