An unobstructed view of Singapore’s prime districts of Orchard Road, Goodwood Hill, Ardmore Park and beyond from the 25th-floor sky terrace.

Creative spaces for work-live-play in one of Singapore’s most prestigious neighbourhoods

With its bold architecture and glittering façade, The Scotts Tower stands out like a beacon in the Scotts Road-Orchard Road shopping district. The project is developed by one of Singapore’s largest developers, Far East Organization, and designed by renowned Dutch architect Ben van Berkel of UNStudio.

In Singapore, van Berkel also designed the Singapore University of Technology and Design campus, the city-state’s fourth public university. Elsewhere around the world, other landmark projects by van Berkel include the new state-of-the-art transport terminal at Arnhem, the Netherlands; the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany; and the Galleria Centercity department store in Cheonan, South Korea.

Van Berkel designed The Scotts Tower as a 31-storey “vertical city” with 231 apartments, comprising a mix of one- to three-bedroom units and three-bedroom penthouses. An arresting feature is the curved triple-volume sky frames at the facilities decks on the upper-level of the first-floor and 25th-floor that have a gemstone-effect when lighted up.

SoHo inspired

The Scotts Tower is the signature project in the Far East SOHO Series. The developer’s SOHO series is in turn inspired by the SoHo (South of Houston Street) district in Lower Manhattan, the fashion epicentre of New York City which boasts Bloomingdale’s and flagship stores of luxury retail brands such as Alexander Wang, Chanel, Prada, Tiffany and the Apple Store as well as bars, bistros, cafés and gourmet restaurants.

And this is exactly what Far East Organization hopes to capture in its Far East SOHO projects, starting with The Scotts Tower –- the constant evolution of space, spirit of creativity and cultural diversity that has made SoHo in New York such a vibrant neighbourhood.

Premium offering

The SOHO-type units at The Scotts Tower offer homebuyers the option of converting a bedroom into a cosy platform bed with additional storage space and study area below. One-bedroom units start from 624 sq ft, two-bedroom units from 807 sq ft and three-bedroom apartments of 1,227 sq ft. There are also three-bedroom duplex penthouses of up to 3,315 sq ft.

All the units are provided with top-end Gaggenau kitchen appliances, full marble flooring, granite kitchen countertops and automated roller blinds and shades at the balcony, living room and bedrooms.

A lot of attention has been put into the landscaping and amenities. On the upper-level of the first-floor are two swimming pools – a 50m lap pool and a children’s pool. There are also standalone pods for a wide range of amenities, from barbeques, parties to fitness and massage.

Meanwhile, the 25th-floor sky terrace offers an unobstructed 270-degree view of Singapore’s prime districts of Orchard Road, Goodwood Hill, Ardmore Park and beyond. There’s also an infinity pool, jacuzzi, sky bar and lounge deck where residents can enjoy panoramic views.
