London-based property consultancy Strawberry Star opened an office in Singapore last week. At the same time, it announced that it would be introducing a new “agent-buyer commission” scheme in which sellers and landlords choose how much commission they would like to pay, depending on how satisfied they are with the level of service.
“Consumers in the UK and over- seas continue to be dramatically underserved by their agents,” commented Strawberry Star CEO Dorian Beresford in a release. “We feel it is our obligation to redress the balance and put the power back into the hands of the public by literally putting our money where our mouth is.”
