London Dock to launch in Singapore
By | November 17, 2014

SINGAPORE: UK developer St George, which is part of Berkeley Group, is launching London Dock, a new 1,800-unit residential project converted from the historical London Docks in Singapore on Oct 17.

Located in central London, London Dock has one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, hotel-style facilities and a 375m promenade.

It is near landmarks such as Tower Bridge, St Katharine Docks, Canary CBR Wharf and the River Thames.

St George has engaged renowned architect Patel Taylor to design the project.

Its hotel-style facilities include a 24-hour concierge and car parking, a gym, swimming pools, a Jacuzzi and a squash court.

The restoration of the Pennington Street Warehouse, which fronts London Dock’s residential blocks, will be the commercial centre of the development.

Tower Hill train station is just a short walk away, while Aldgate and Wapping stations are also close by.

London Dock’s Singapore launch prices start from about £690,000 ($1.4 million) for a one-bedroom unit with sizes from 540 sq ft, and from about £900,000 for a two-bedroom unit of 840 sq ft.

Meanwhile, three-bedroom units starting from 1,300 sq ft are priced from £1.5 million.

The project will be showcased at Berkeley Group’s office at Marina Bay Financial Centre on Oct 17, and at the Four Seasons Hotel over the weekend of Oct 18 and 19.

The project has seen strong interest from both investors and those buying for their children’s future education, says Stephen Ho, director of international project marketing at CBRE, which is marketing the project.

“In terms of location, it is right outside the city, across the road from the Tower Bridge and right next to St Katharine Docks.

It is a sought-after location as it is a more residential area.”
