SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Lendlease has appointed Sam Lee as managing director of data centres. He will lead Lendlease Data Centre Partners, the group’s US$1 billion ($1.38 billion) joint venture with a large institutional investor, to invest in data centres in Asia Pacific.
Based in Singapore, Lee will oversee the sourcing and development of new data centres, including potential acquisitions of assets across Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.
Lee has two decades of experience in corporate real estate and asset management. Most recently, he was the managing director at Global Switch, where he was responsible for managing the Global Switch Tai Seng data centre. At the same time, he was also overseeing the development of its second data centre in Woodlands.
Lee had also served as the director of asset management for global data centre provider Digital Realty, and was responsible for growing its Asia Pacific data centre portfolio, developing business strategies and coordinating long-term expansion plans with global customers.
