SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Co-working operator JustCo has launched its Digital Future of Work Platform at a ceremony officiated by Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing. The technology enables users to decide where and how to work.

From hub-and-spoke offices, flexible workspaces to remote work booths, users can toggle between working at home, or working in a shared workspace with teams.

The platform uses the on-demand app, Switch, to connect users and providers of workspaces. Users pay by the minute for the space that they use, with prices starting from $3.60 per hour. Workspaces to choose from include JustCo centres, other non-JustCo shared office locations, or proprietary Switch booths. The app will allow users to locate booths via the Switch app and check in and out via the smart door lock.

Additionally, the platform is also AI-enabled, with an AI-powered tool SixSense that analyses how spaces are being used. It will track crowdedness to ensure safe distancing as well. SixSense has been deployed at 10 JustCo centres, so users have real-time information on centre density and crowdedness.

27 Switch booths have already been deployed at nine Frasers Property malls such as Tampines 1, Waterway Point, and Causeway Point. Customer adoption rates have been high, especially in suburban locations where users want an alternative to working from home.

“When the pandemic struck, many of us were forced to work from home. It worked well for some, but terribly for others. We quickly realized that what workers needed was the powermand digital tools to decide where and how to work,” says founder and CEO of JustCo Kong Wan Sing.

“Fixed and rigid offices have run their course. The future belongs to flexible and on-demand workspaces,” he adds.
