JLL's Managing Director Chris Fossick
To commemorate Singapore’s 50 years of independence, JLL has published 50 Stories, which showcases 50 landmarks built across the city-state over the last five decades. It aims to provide a visual representation of Singapore’s development through the buildings.
“Buildings tell a story – of the development of a country, the growth of a nation of people, their culture and their way of life,” says Khaw Boon Wan, Minister of National Development, in the forward.
Many of the landmarks featured in the book were those JLL was involved in. Some were even developed by JLL’s independent subsidiary, the private equity real estate firm, LaSalle Investment Management.
“At JLL, these 50 buildings represent more than simply the concrete facades that line our streets,” says Chris Fossick, JLL’s managing director. “For us, buildings are our business and our passion.”
