SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Real estate consultancy JLL has appointed Chris Archibold as country head, Singapore, and Michael Glancy to succeed Suphin Mechuchep as country head, Thailand. Mechuchep will step into a new role as chairperson for Thailand.

The leadership changes are effective January 2021, and are part of the firm’s succession plan to strengthen its capabilities and align growth ambitions in the region. All three executives will report to Chris Fossick, who remains as CEO of Southeast Asia.

In his new role, Archibold will drive Singapore’s sales strategy and business development by connecting local and regional business functions, and lead markets advisory. Archibold has worked with JLL in Singapore for 17 years, and spearheaded the office leasing business before taking over as head of leasing for Singapore in 2018.

In Thailand, Glancy will oversee the country’s business growth. He had worked in JLL Hong Kong since 2010, before relocating to Bangkok in February 2020. Glancy has been heading Thailand’s transaction business since.

In Mechuchep’s new role as chairperson, she will continue to drive key business priorities and nurture strong client networks that she has built over her 30-year career.
