The announcement was made at the Huttons Gala Awards held on April 8. Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance and National Development was the guest of honour.

Launched in 2020, the movement is a nationwide effort to plant one million trees on the island by 2030. According to Huttons, the target amount will allow the fund to plant 200 new trees in total.
"Being a part of the Huttons family is not all real estate work; there are plenty of corporate welfare collaborations with other brands, sports activities, and community engagement events", says Mark Yip, CEO of Huttons.
The real estate agency began supporting the movement in 2022 through its Plant-A-Tree programme. To date, it has raised over $40,000 for the fund.
"We are grateful to Huttons for supporting the Plant-A-Tree programme", says Leo Tan, Garden City Fund chairman. "Their support will serve as an inspiring example to encourage others to join us in realising our vision of becoming a City in Nature."
The Huttons x OneMillionTrees Sustainability Walk event will take place on July 7. Tickets are currently on sale with early-bird discounts ending May 31.
