“The strong growth momentum in Asia demonstrates the resilience of Hilton’s luxury brands amidst a dynamic operating landscape as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. It also signals great confidence from the owner and investment communities in the strength of our luxury brands,” says Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton.
The company had signed a deal for the first Waldorf Astoria in Japan, located in Tokyo last year. It also opened Waldorf Astoria Xiamen, marking Hilton’s sixth hotel in Asia Pacific under the luxury brand. It also inked a multi-deal signing four luxury hotels in China with real estate development company Shimao Group Holdings in April this year.
Most recently, Hilton launched its newest luxury brand in Asia Pacific with the opening of ROKU KYOTO, LXR Hotels & Resorts in September. The company will also launch Conrad Jiuzhaigou located in Sichuan before the year-end.
