SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - HDB has launched a total of 8,170 HDB units for sale under its November sales exercise, comprising 4,571 Build-To-Order (BTO) units and 3,599 Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) units across various estates.
The BTO units are spread across five projects: three projects are in the non-mature town of Tengah, while the other two are in the mature towns of Ang Mo Kio and Tampines.
In Tengah, Plantation Village and Plantation Grange are the second batch of flats with a shorter waiting time, where at least 95% of the four-room and bigger flats will be set aside for first-timer families. This is an increase from the current quota of at least 85% in non-mature estates.
Meanwhile, the SBF units up for sale comprise 760 units of two-room Flexi, 536 units of three-room, 1,677 units of four-room, 561 units of five-room, 56 units of 3Gen and nine units of Executive flats across various estates.
The majority of the flats offered under the SBF exercise are reserved for first-timer families. Eligible first-timer singles may also apply for a two-room Flexi flat in non-mature towns.
SBF flats come in a wide range of flat types, locations and selling prices. About 22% are already completed, while the rest are under construction.
Applications for the flats launched in the November 2019 BTO and SBF exercises can be made online on the HDB InfoWEB from Nov 12 to 18. Applicants can apply for only one flat category in one town under either the BTO or SBF exercise.
In February next year, HDB will offer about 3,000 BTO flats in Sembawang and Toa Payoh. In May next year, HDB will offer about 3,700 BTO flats in Choa Chu Kang, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Tengah. The flats in Choa Chu Kang have a shorter waiting time.
