Sanitary fittings brand GROHE opened its first fully-owned and operated flagship store in Asia on March 8. Named GROHE SPA, the store spans 6,000 sq ft across two levels of Shaw Centre.
“This showroom is a stage where GROHE’s advancements in water technology are brought to life,” says Bijoy Mohan, CEO of LIXIL Asia Pacific, which owns the GROHE brand. “[With the showroom,] we aim to change the way consumers interact with our products.”

The store features seven luxurious bathroom suites and three “live shower areas” where visitors can experience the fittings under actual use with running water. Smart technology has been implemented through the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tagging and consumers can track the products they are interested in using a mobile device. The list of products can then be emailed to them or projected to an interactive touchscreen display device for them to learn more. The store also features Virtual Reality (VR) technology in the Shower Configurator, which helps consumers to visualise the function and design of their selected shower systems.
