SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust says that Google, a major tenant at its property Alexandra Technopark, will give up "a portion" of the space with effect from Feb 20 2024.
According to FLCT, the space to be given by Google constitutes 1.7% of its gross rental income for Dec 2022.
FLCT says this development will not have an impact on its distribution for the year ending Sept 30 2023.
"The Manager will continue to carry out proactive leasing initiatives and asset management strategies for ATP and will make further announcements of any material developments, as appropriate," says FLCT.
Google started taking up 344,000 sq ft at Alexandra Technopark under a five-year lease.
However, as reported by EdgeProp last December, Google did not move in, and the space was left empty.

Rather, Google's employees were mainly at the neighbouring Mapletree Business City II, where the US internet giant is taking up 680,000 sq ft.
Google has joined a growing list of tech companies in laying off people in recent months, following a hiring binge during the pandemic years.
FLCT units closed at $1.24 on Feb 22, down 0.8%.
