SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Frasers Property has announced the appointment of Wong Ping as chief investment officer of Frasers Property Capital, a newly-formed corporate group function that will focus on growing capital partnerships with long-term investors across markets and asset classes.
Wong joined in July and is based in Singapore. She reports to group chief corporate officer Chia Khong Shoong. Ping has over 25 years of experience in real estate investment management and has held senior leadership positions with CBRE Investment Management and Allianz Real Estate Asia Pacific.
According to an Aug 22 press release, Frasers Property Capital has a mandate to “coordinate capital partnerships with like-minded investors keen to take part in the company’s growth, as it pursues investment opportunities aligned with its strategic objectives”.
Chia highlights that a strong and diversified capital base is required to execute the group’s strategic priorities. “Forming Frasers Property Capital now to work with aligned partners, as part of our wider asset and capital management strategy, is a natural evolution in our journey,” he remarks.
He adds that long-term strategic institutional investors will appreciate the group’s established real estate platforms that are backed by experienced local teams in their respective markets.
