Frasers Hospitality plans to open two more properties in Cambodia — a second Capri by Fraser in Phnom Penh which will have 78 rooms completing in 2024, and Fraser Residence Sen Sok, which will complete in 2026.
“In the last decade, Phnom Penh has evolved into a thriving and vibrant city. Coupled with a young, dynamic economy and strong pandemic recovery measures in Cambodia, we are excited to introduce our range of Frasers Hospitality brands to cater to different markets and offer the quality experiences we are known for,” says Tonya Khong, senior vice president, head of Asia Pacific at Frasers Hospitality.
Khong adds that the three new properties will accommodate the anticipated recovery in travel to Cambodia, driven by business activities as well as the return of tourists. Cambodia is expected to benefit from events such as the 2023 Southeast Asian Games, which will be held in Phnom Penh, as well as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership free trade block, which will come into effect this year.
“ Moving into Cambodia signals our long-term ambition to grow our presence in the country and Southeast Asia,” Khong adds.
