FM Global, a major commercial and industrial property insurer, broke ground for the construction of a new loss prevention training and operations centre in Singapore.

The six-storey 125,000 sq ft facility in Singapore Science Park will be its R&D and technology hub. To be constructed by Ascendas-Singbridge, the $80 million building will be the home of FM Global Asia SimZone, the company’s first hands-on training facility in Asia. It is expected to be operational by early 2019.

FM Global is a mutual insurance company whose capital, scientific research capability and engineering expertise are solely dedicated to property risk management and the resilience of its client-owners.
