CapitaLand’s d’Leedon and Jewel Changi Airport projects have been accorded the 2016 International Architecture Award.
The 1,715-unit d’Leedon is the largest residential development in Singapore, comprising seven 36-storey towers. Completed in 2014, d’Leedon stands out in the prime District 10 for its distinctive curvilinear architectural form designed by award-winning Zaha Hadid Architects.
Jewel Changi Airport is designed by Safdie Architects, Benoy and local architects RSP. Its distinctive architecture includes a stunning glass and steel façade and a refreshing indoor environment of lush greenery. Main attractions include Forest Valley, a five-storey garden and the 40-metre high Rain Vortex, which is expected to be the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. Jewel Changi Airport is scheduled to open in early 2019.
The International Architecture Awards are the largest and most extensive global architecture awards in the world, which honour buildings and real estate projects. It is organised by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
