Crown Group is set to open phase one of its shopping centre at Eastlakes, a suburb of Sydney, by mid-2021.
Phase one will see the completion of 2,800 sq m (30,139 sq ft) at a cost of A$30 million ($28.7 million). This will include 13 outlets, including a new Aldi store and a Woolworths Metro, as well as a bakery, pharmacy, hair and beauty salon, newsagent/post office and a car wash.
Construction of stage two is projected to cost A$150 million and will start late in 2021.
The Eastlakes development is designed by Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp (fjmt), boasting shopping centre interiors by Buchan. Altogether, the development will deliver 490 luxury apartments and a retail and dining precinct that will house up to 80 restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets once completed.
