SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Piped town gas provider City Energy has opened a lifestyle concept store at Plaza Singapura that showcases green and smart solutions for the home. The space on the third floor was previously a retail store operated by City Gas. The Keppel Infrastructure Trust subsidiary was rebranded to City Energy in December 2021 as part of a wider transition towards becoming a green and smart energy solutions provider. Its retail arm is known as Life by City Energy.
The new concept store is an experiential centre where homeowners, developers and other customers can browse low-carbon gas-powered appliances like water heaters, gas hobs and dryers from brands including Rinnai, Küche and Möwe. The products have smart features that can be integrated and controlled through a single mobile app.

City Energy CEO Perry Ong says Life by City Energy is designed for customers to build “the low-carbon homes and kitchens of the future”. “With growing awareness of climate change and price inflation, homeowners, property developers, and owners of food and beverage businesses are increasingly looking for more sustainable and affordable solutions which town gas and low-carbon gas-powered appliances can help achieve.”
The store also showcases Go by City Energy, City Energy’s electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions business. At the store, customers can learn about the cross-border EV charging service and mobile app offered by Go by City Energy.
