A detached house sitting on a 12,772 sq ft free- hold site on Chancery Hill Road (above) has been put up for sale by expression of interest by Knight Frank. The property belongs to the estate of the late Dr Arthur Lim, who was known as Southeast Asia’s “father of ophthalmology”. The site is zoned for redevelopment into a double-storey mixed landed development under the URA 2014 Master Plan.
The existing detached property can be torn down and redeveloped into two smaller detached houses. Pre-approval from the authorities has been obtained for the sub-division of the property into two bungalows. The indicative price of the house at Chancery Hill is $19 million ($1,488 psf). A comparable bungalow on Dyson Road was sold for $20 million ($1,493 psf) in April 2014, while another bungalow on Gentle Road fetched $13.1 million ($1,493 psf) in March last year. The expression of interest closes on April 21.
