SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - CapitaStar points can now be exchanged for points in Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) programmes via the CapitaStar app, and vice versa. ASR members can do so via the Ascott website. This is currently only in Singapore, where CapitaStar has around 1.1 million members. It may extend to over 11 million CapitaStar members in China.
ASR members can use CapitaStar points to exchange for eCapitaVouchers or other rewards on the CapitaStar app, which can be used at 17 participating CapitaLand malls in Singapore.
Tan Bee Leng, managing director at The Ascott Limited, says: “Ascott is harnessing the scale of two key rewards programmes within the CapitaLand Group to cross-sell and bring greater value to our customers.” Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand.
Ascott has also launched a “status match initiative” that will enable existing members of other hospitality programmes to obtain higher tiers and enjoy more benefits. For example, a Silver member with other hospitality groups (valid within the past 18 months) can directly enjoy a Silver status with ASR. They would not have to start from Classic and meet the minimum spend of $1,000 to attain Silver status.
In light of current restrictions on international travel, Ascott has rolled out staycation deals and new ways to earn bonus points in the ASR programme. For instance, members will receive 2,000 bonus points for every staycation night stay, terms and conditions apply. ASR participating properties include Ascott Raffles Place Singapore, Ascott Orchard Singapore and lyf Funan Singapore.
