The Ascott Limited opened Somerset Maslak Istanbul, its first serviced residence in Turkey, on Aug 22.
Tony Soh, Chief Corporate Officer of Ascott shared this with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim during a luncheon hosted by IE Singapore, as part of Yildirim's first official visit to Singapore. The 165-unit serviced residence is part of the new Maslak 1453, which is Europe’s largest lifestyle development complex spanning more than two million square metres, according to Ascott.
Somerset Maslak Istanbul is located in Istanbul’s commercial hub, which is home to many multinational corporations, such as Ericsson, Cisco and Ford, and educational institutions including Nisantasi University and Istanbul Technical University. It is also within a 10-minute drive from Istinye Park, a mall with 291 retail stores and a food bazaar, sports stadium Türk Telecom Arena that houses football club Galatasaray SK; and the Istanbul Sapphire, an integrated development comprising retail and residential components.
