SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Global real estate investment manager Allianz Real Estate has appointed Danny Phuan as its Asia-Pacific head of acquisitions.
This is a newly created role that will strengthen the firm’s presence and acquisition capabilities in the region. It comes on the back of multiple strategic investments Allianz has made in the region this year. It is also part of the company’s target to allocate 10% of its global real estate portfolio in the region.
Prior to joining Allianz, Phuan was chief investment officer North Asia and executive director at Keppel Capital. He has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate sector across the Asian markets.

Phuan has been in his new role since Dec 2 and is based in Singapore. He reports to Asia-Pacific CEO Rushabh Desai. “Danny’s extensive experience in the industry, coupled with his strong track record, makes him the ideal candidate to oversee the sourcing and execution of transactions across the region. The addition of Danny to our leadership team in Asia-Pacific comes at an opportune time as we continue to further our business expansion plans in this region,” says Desai.
