Mercure & ibis Bangkok Siam Ratchathewi is slated to open in 2025, and will add a total of 354 keys upon completion.
“The dual-branded hotel concept offers two distinct experiences under one roof,” says Garth Simmons, CEO of Accor Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.
The 200-key locally-inspired Mercure offers a destination experience, while the 154-key lifestyle economy ibis brand has a trendy hotel concept, a vibrant atmosphere and amenities. Both hotels will share public areas including a restaurant, lobby bar and lounge, pool bar, swimming pool, gym, kid’s club and two meeting rooms.
Located in Ratchathewi, they are part of a mixed-use development with offices and retail components. The neighbourhood is popular with leisure and business travellers, locals, students and expatriates, and offers a wide range of lifestyle offerings.
The development has direct access to the Ratchathewi BTS sky train and is within walking distance to the Airport Rail Link to Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
Accor currently operates 372 hotels in Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, with 83 hotels operating in Thailand under 11 brands. The group has a pipeline of 18 hotels under development in Thailand.
